Our approach unlocks the natural ability of Australia’s vast landscapes, soils and agricultural systems to sequester greenhouse gas emissions on a large scale.

Through technology and expertise, we listen carefully and respond to what our precious soils and vegetation are telling us, particularly in a changing climate. Our country is rested when times get tough and becomes a highly productive food supply engine when conditions allow.

CLIMATE CHANGE PARTNER

Sequestering carbon emissions through better land management

Wyuna is sequestering carbon emissions and creating Australian Carbon Credit Units under a quantifiable and rigorous model that’s measured by changes on the ground and in the vegetation. Our projects focus on replacing existing land management practices that stifle regeneration, such as overgrazing and land clearing.

SUSTAINABLE RED MEAT PRODUCTION

Responsive grazing that complements the ecosystem

Our responsive grazing strategies carefully match grass availability and seasonal conditions with the number of cattle grazed. The goal is to maintain critical ground cover, soil health, and ensure that cattle production complements our regeneration and carbon efforts.

BIODIVERSITY & NATURAL CAPITAL

Conservation of our nation’s flora and fauna

Alongside a regeneration focus and carbon projects, Wyuna is driving improvements to biodiversity and nature across our properties. Our innovative land management practices ensure wildlife and habitat conservation, and the protection of native flora and fauna.

TECHNOLOGY

Enhanced efficiency through the latest tech

To increase operational efficiency and improve transparency in our carbon sequestration, Wyuna deploys state-of-the-art technology including drones and satellites to measure changes in vegetation and biomass, determine ground cover and grass availability for livestock, track soil health and remotely monitor farm operations.

COMMUNITY

Proactive, hands-on land management

As proud custodians, we respect the environment and rural communities of our great Australian outback. We don’t “lock up” country for a single focus such as carbon sequestration. Instead we strive for balance, maximising agricultural productivity when possible, sequestering carbon and improving biodiversity.
